The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, confirmed on Tuesday that the relationship between Iraq and Germany has grown significantly.

Scholz stressed the German government’s keenness to complete the action plan both parties agreed upon, increase the activity of German enterprises in Iraq, and complete the work by the due date.

The German Chancellor also indicated Germany’s willingness to share its knowledge in the energy field with Iraq, particularly in regards to the use of associated gas.

Scholz commended Al-Sudani’s policies, the remarkable progress it made, and the stability attained in the country. He added that the German Minister of Economic Affairs will visit Iraq soon and expressed his wish to do so as well.
